I really hope I can afford to buy an iPhone sometime or the other. Then again I may just sit tight with my N73

BTW, <a href="http://techtites.com/2007/01/11/cisco-sues-apple-over-iphone/" rel="nofollow">Cisco is suing Apple </a>over the iPhone trademark?

They do claim that it will have a 5-hour battery life in terms of talking/data/video usage. That's is actually a lot better than I expected. And the battery life was something around 16 hours for listening to music.

Sure it's widescreen, and sure it's pretty much iTunes on the go, but it's 4 and 8Gb; hardly a full on ipod. And I'm sure that the 8Gb gets cut up to fill apps, the OSX install, plus the space for browser cache (does safari have a browser cache)?

And this is a slimmed down OSX; and I'm sure with a cell phone company they will charge for widgets. This won't be the Java platform of "oh, I'll just find it on the net and download it". I'm sure Apple and AT&T are ready and have their $$$ shaped dildos ready.

And I don't expect it to come to any other company in the future. With Ma Bell/Devastator almost completely rebuilt, they have the money to drain to keep it exclusive. Bad? Not for Cingular, but it will be for Apple, since they'll be playing fiddle to one specific market. Even if they were to go to different markets, it would be a lengthy wait. T-Mo might get it soon, but I think they just got the RAZR around the same time verizon did. Then CDMA is harder to program for, not to mention they are being whipped by qualcomm and BREW. I don't see this phone on VZW, at least not without red bars. Alltel might be the first ones to have it, along with Sprint.

The biggest question at this point in time is, "how well will it work?" Will the reception be crappy like so many other phones? Will the system crash? How's the Mp3 players sound quality?

I agree that it's going to be marketed at consumers not businesses. However, one should not forget that there are lots of consumers that have waited a long time
for the level of integration that the iPhone promises.
