The @live.com accounts should be available soon. I was able to get my name a few days ago when the leaked method made its way around the Internet, but that has since been closed down.

Speaking of this, when and how do we get ourselves those @live.com accounts? I'm quite happy with Gmail but I want one just so no one else steals my name.

About WLM and Gtalk, once A-Patch has been used on WLM it's a nice messenger - it feels a little more full that Gtalk and there's nothing else I'd want it to do. I only wish it was Google's offering and not Microsoft's.

A paragraph in the help files indicates that Windows Live Messenger now talks with Yahoo! Messenger (of which there will also be a version 8.0 released within the next 24 hours)

It says in order to add a Yahoo! contact just enter its full yahoo mail address. I've tried it, but it's not working (yet) but I might just have to wait for the new Yahoo Messenger version.
