Vista does have a lot of great features and I plan on outlining them in a review that I’m writing. It will help people determine if the new features are right for them or whether they should stick with XP. I have a feeling that most people will just be staying with XP until they purchase a new PC, and that is actually what I have been telling people to do.

I saw this technology back when Microsoft first started promoting some of these consumer-oriented features. Laptops were always the plan, but I never thought of remotes . (That remote seems very similar to [logitech.com] one of my favorite remotes.) It is amazing, though pre-boot OSs have existed for a while (though they were never anything like this). I, too, hope this technology catches on. This is one of the reasons I disagree with those who say Vista is just XP with transparency.

Yes, this is very much real. Some of the SideShow devices have been demonstrated before, but these appear to be new ones.
