Microsoft is trying to get users prepared for the release of Windows Vista in January. They are doing this by providing an “advisor” that will let them know if upgrades are needed to their computer in order to properly run Vista. The Upgrade Advisor software lets users choose what they want to do with their computer and then it will punch out necessary upgrades and the recommended version of Vista.
I guess Microsoft is going to try everything they can to get people to upgrade. However, there are quite a few people that I know that have no intentions of upgrading from XP.
