While the other day We had a test laptop with Vista on it at our company and I was trying to connect to one of the network printers, and vista prompted for login/password, well my account has global network admin rights but apparently this wasn't high enough for vista to be able to install a printer. This goes to show how much of a pain vista is, something as simple as connecting to a printer and it wants god powers, domain administrator just isn't enough for it.

UAC isn't as annoying as most people make it out to be, but it definitely needs some work. The only time I really get bothered by it is when I'm installing the software, and despite being knowledgeable about computers I still leave it enabled. I prefer to have the extra protection that it offers. ;)

I think most businesses don't want the hassle of dealing with all that Vista pain ;) I don't blame 'em. In my opinion, there's just way too many negative and/or disappointing things about Vista that make it close to a 'ME'. Not a 'ME', but close to one. Each to their own, but XP was nice and clean, simple. Vista is so convoluted it's not funny. A dozen buttons for the same thing on every window, OD'd on menus, OD'd on fluff in place of what works, and last but not least, who on earth thinks MS nailed UAC?

MS's implementation of UAC is simply laughable.
