I'm one of those still with SP1, could never get SP2 to install correctly , so just gave up. Plenty of RAM and hard drive space, but each time I tried to install I would get errors or certain programs wouldn't run correctly.

It isn't 10 years - support for Windows 98 is already gone/going so they're not directly true to their word. But to be honest, who would have XP SP1 and refuse to install SP2? Unless they had next to no RAM and a tiny hard disk.

Where I work, we are still on SP1 because in the earlier days of SP1, there were some major issues with moving to it. However, now they are currently rolling it out.

At home, I have been using it since shortly after it came out.
