Working at Microsoft…

February 14th, 2008

A lot of people think that Microsoft has got to be a great place to work because of all the money they make, but there are a lot of things that needed to be cleared up. Microsoft’s own On10, a site dedicated to new technologies, took it upon themselves to resolve the misconceptions that are floating around out there.

The video, which I’ve embedded below, discusses things like how serious the workplace actually is, whether employees are allowed to use competing products, and how wealthy the employees are. You’ll definitely learn a thing or two from the video, and I give props to Microsoft for giving us some insight into how their workplace functions on a day-to-day basis.

Thanks to Oliver for the tip!

It probably also varies from person to person, but I thought it was pretty good especially coming from Microsoft.

That would definitely hurt his chances of winning. :)

It was good to see this video.
I worked at an Investment Bank for a year before I joined Microsoft.
Coming from the formal financial services environment, with aa stodcy corporate-culture, Microsoft has turned out a fun place to
    work for me.
