Starting yesterday AT&T began unlocking iPhones for anyone that asks as long as the iPhone is no longer tied to a contract.
Nest Thermostat Gets an Update
The Nest thermostat was released five months ago, and they have issued their first major update for the device. The update includes a feature called AirWave that tries to be a bit more intelligent in the way it cools your home in the hot summer months.
600,000 Macs Worldwide Reportedly Infected by Flashback Trojan
Over 600,000 Macs have reportedly been infected by the Flashback Trojan that has been making its rounds lately. There are a couple of quick checks you can run through the Terminal to see if your system has been infected, and Apple has issued an update to Java to plug the hole.

This handy utility will let you set up your computer to automatically login after a restart for a specified number of reboots. This can be useful if you are running something that requires multiple reboots to complete.
Dropbox Increases Referral Rewards
Dropbox is giving you even more space when you invite your friends to use the service. Now when someone signs up for an account with your referral link you’ll both earn 500MB instead of just 250MB. The great news is that this is also retroactive, which means anyone you previously invited also counts towards this and the increased storage should already be reflected in your account.
