Hulu Plus Available on the Xbox 360
Last week Hulu Plus was released for the Xbox 360, and Xbox Live members (Gold and Silver) can enjoy the service for free the rest of the week (until Friday, May 6th).
Apple Buys iCloud.com Domain?
GigaOM is reporting that Apple has purchased the iCloud.com domain for a staggering $4.5 million. The cloud storage service that previously owned the domain has since rebranded itself as CloudMe, and redirects iCloud.com visitors to their new CloudMe.com domain.
SETI Hibernates Satellite Array Due to Lack of Funding
The SETI Institute has been well known for some time as the ones looking for extraterrestrial signals in space. The 42 satellite dishes that are part of the Allen Array will be put on hold, but the project is hoping to raise about $5 million to get the satellites back online for two years. There are still satellites that are part of other arrays that will remain powered on.
Apple Issues Statement on Location Tracking
Apple released a series of questions and answers regarding the location tracking scheme that was uncovered a few weeks ago. In the next minor update due out soon Apple will be limiting the size of the file that gets created, and the file will start getting encrypted in the next major update.
77 Million PSN Accounts Compromised
Sony has come forward to talk about the unavailability of the PlayStation Network, and they explained that the outage is due to a security breach that has compromised the personal information of over 77 million of their members.
Yahoo Buys IntoNow iOS App
Yahoo dropped between an estimated $13 to $30 million on the IntoNow iOS app that can listen to what you’re watching on TV and share the information with your friends.
Barnes & Noble Updating NOOK to Android 2.2
A free update for NOOK users will provide Adobe Flash Player support, email, support for embedded video and audio in books, and an app store with access to over 125 apps.
Apple Can Operate for 7-Years on Current Cash Alone
It really puts Apple’s $65 billion of cash into perspective when you hear that they could survive until 2018 without selling a single thing during that time.

The new release of Ubuntu 11.04 has some really nice features including a spiffy new launcher and dash, as well as a polished virtual desktop implementation.

Google Docs App Available for Android
The new Google Docs app for Android is pretty sweet. Besides being able to edit your documents you can also snap photos with the camera and Google will try to turn any text found in the image into editable text.
Send Emails in the Background with Gmail
This is a new feature in Gmail labs that, once enabled, will send your emails in the background once you’ve finished composing them. That way you can continue reading or composing other emails while it does the sending.
Sorting Chrome’s Browser History by Date
This extension will let you navigate the browser history saved by Chrome using a familiar calendar layout.
Android App Wakes Your Computer When You Reach Home
This is pretty genius… the PCAutoWaker Android app detects when you connect to your home WiFi network, and will then send signals to as many as 5 PCs so that they are ready to use by the time you get settled in.
