They are still limiting a few select countries so yours might be one of them. You might still be able to [tech.cybernetnews.com] into letting you use Yahoo Mail Beta.

It will be quite a brilliant idea to see a Windows Explorer clone using labels system! While I pretend I know softwares and digg all day long for them, I do not know any Explorer-like-program to use the ideas of labels. Do you/anybody know? (Sorry for being off-topic.)

I much prefer a label system to a folder system – I think the way to do it in Windows would be to have buttons at the top of an explorer window to switch between drive hierarchy and label view. Either that or have things still fitted into folders, but then labelled within those folders.

Sadly due to previous popularity and the fact that many English BT subscribers end up using Yahoo mail it will get quite a following. Still, Google mail owns and all the clever people know that.

After few days of testing and working with new Yahoo! Mail I have to say that it works, it really works. And I cannot say that I “feel” the graphics ads of Yahoo! while I do not “feel” the text ads of Google – maybe if you are on dial-up this can matter, for me it’s the same. I think that now GMail has to work a little more, for drag and drop and other ideas from Yahoo! Mail.

Well it looks pretty nice but I won’t be switching from gmail since I’ve got used to it and I use mostly thunderbird instead of website, expect when checking mail from school.

Have been using Yahoo! Beta for well over a few months now. I don’t know how they upgraded my account to it, but well no complains.

Only problem I did notice is that the initial loading does take some time. However, future loads are faster since most of it is in your browser cache already.

Their interface is definitely a lot better than Gmails, though I do think they should maintain the plain interface always (as they do now, you have an option of switching)
