Yahoo! is rolling out this update (very) slowly, in fact only two farms have it now. Luckily for you, this hack will let you get it RIGHT NOW, regardless of farm. Note: this hack even works for AT&T and other ISP users :)

The online chat archive is pretty nice with Google, and I'm sure Yahoo will follow soon enough. Companies are trying to bring as much data from a user's computer onto the Internet, and Yahoo is among the top ones leading the way. I can't imagine they would overlook this feature.

The one BIG thing Yahoo!'s version is missing is a chat archive. Otherwise, it's an excellent, welcome addition 8)

http://www.TwoPics.com offers a free digital photo software to help you design and share your Yahoo! Instant Messenger avatars.

You can use your own photos or select popular ones from their image library.

First go to http://twopics.com/create.php and choose the TwoPics you want to use. Then upload them using the form on the TwoPics homepage. The small image is the one your friends will see when they look at their contacts lists while big image is the one your friends will see when they point to your name in that list.

Twopics.com's photo editor software will resize the digital photos you want to use and optimize them for Y! Messenger. You can use jpeg, gif or png file formats.

I use the chat in Gmail all the time, and I like it. What's different about this Yahoo version is that it opens in tabs at the top, which I think I might prefer to the little "pop-up" in Gmail. Either way, I think it's a nice addition and an extra added convenience.
