No problem! While I do think that the online chatting systems are cool, such as Meebo, I don’t find myself using them very often. Normally I have my own computer and I’m always connected using a desktop client such as the new Pidgin (which I have to admit is pretty awesome).

Nevertheless, it does show what an online-dependent world we are becoming.

A sensible set of companies developing internet chat would’ve made one protocol and their own clients for that one protocol.

I’m sure that is the entire reason Microsoft teamed up with Yahoo in the first place. Chatting is very important to people, and they will try to use that to pull Gmail users away from Google.
